Panamaes not sunshine! , well my shot was not good to capture the sunset.... ... will try harder the next time.

Lumus.... did you say nice pics or bras? Piaks! Well even I did not get the real sunset I want, I thought I got not that bad a shot showing some laundry on a bamboo that create a different view on the shadowed building.. but to realize later that those bras hanging out..... well... created more attention.

JP Har, well I like most kinds of music but I fell in love with Jazz few years ago.. Stan Getz, especially Astrud Gilberto.... But I also like to immerse into saxophone music. Not been doing that for a while since I moved to my new place.. I have yet to dig out all my CDs. FYI I was reading "Taboo" a novel of forbidden sensual delights by Kathleen Lawless...

Kris, I thought was so so... but thanks for your motivation!

Portrait of a heavily creased texture of a woman's face...

View all 4 photos...
It all started two years back when I was practicing and into water color painting and came upon this old John Hedgecoe's book on photography that I inherited many years back. And was impressed by his photography especially this portrait of an elderly woman... her heavily ceased texture makes a powerful image, an effect that strengthened by the contrast of the smoothness of the headscarf framing her face. Infact I painted & repainted watercolor portrait of her... her face always remains in my mind.

Today I have attempted to take a photo shot of this picture from his book... enjoy!

Everyday I am looking over the landscape...

Everyday I am looking over the landscape out from my kitchen window.

It rained the whole day which changed my plan of going to the nearest nature reserve to start playng and shooting with my new camera.

there will be plenty of opportunity to go out and take pics. staying around the house just snapping things in different light, different camera modes is a great way to learn the capabilities of your camera Sun 8-May-2005 12:20

GETTING STARTED WITH MY NEW CAMERA

Who are the five people I will meet in heaven....
Finally I got my new camera today! Made a choice between the Canon IXUS700 and settled for Canon Powershot A520 because of it's 13 shooting options & 4 times optical zoom but have to forgo what you get from IXUS700 with 7 mega pixels but with only 3 times optical zoom & 7 shooting options.

great foto, i would go for the versatility over the extra pixcels. i dont have enough disk space for fotos taken at 7M Sun 8-May-2005 08:32

Thanks for the encouragement Mark, motivation is much needed for a beginner! Well, yes I was contemplating over the extra pixels for hours before I decided to let go the IXUS700 Sun 8-May-2005 09:17
